Cheapest way to watch college football as a college student (2026)
The student discounts that actually help you watch college football in 2026 (Peacock, Paramount+, Sling), the ones that don't (Spotify's Hulu, HBO Max Basic), and the cheapest student setup for each conference.
Student discounts sound great, but most of them don't include live college football. We checked each one on the provider's own site on October 16, 2026. These are the deals that actually get you games, and the popular ones that don't.
Start free: antenna + campus TV
ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and The CW carry many of the biggest games and are free over the air (dorm reception varies; check the FCC map). Also ask whether your school offers TV in housing or a campus streaming service.

Tips
- Split by month. Only pay for a service in months when your team plays on it; most TV picks are announced 6–12 days ahead (this week's schedule).
- Peacock and Paramount+ student deals need a school-verified signup (SheerID) and can't be applied to an existing paid subscription without cancelling first.
- Sling Day Passes are gone, so plan on monthly billing.

ESPN's plans page lists only regular prices: ESPN Select $13.99/mo and ESPN Unlimited $31.99/mo. We found no student price.
Does the Spotify student plan include live college football?
No. It includes Hulu (With Ads), Hulu's on-demand library. Live games need Hulu + Live TV, which isn't part of the student bundle.

Can I just watch on campus?
Many schools provide TV in dorms or a campus streaming service (for example, Xfinity On Campus at participating schools). Check with your housing office before paying for anything.
